Joe Bouchoc, pastor of Discipleship Connections, with the Merrimack Valley Baptist Church in Merrimack NH, was my guest for this episode of, ‘Frankly Speaking’. This interview was filmed on 6/22/23 in the Nashua Public TV studio.

Pastor Bouchoc had done a 3-4 part series, along with one of his colleagues, titled, ‘A Christian’s Response to Abortion’. Although I brought out that we were taping our interview on just about the 1-year Anniversary of the Supreme Court’s overturning Roe v. Wade, which Federally-mandated Abortions nationwide for nearly a half century, and now gives each individual State the right to initiate its own Abortion laws.

But Bouchoc assured me that the series presented in January by MVBC, had absolutely nothing to do with the Midterm election which preceded it. It was basically to afford MVBC members the opportunity to understand what some of these people experience en route to these obvious life-altering decisions.

He also described his rather “unique” position at MVBC of serving as its, ‘Pastor of Discipleship Connections’, which Jesus himself was quoted in the Bible as ‘building Disciples in all nations’.

We discussed a Pro Life meme, which proclaimed that less than one percent of all Abortions involved either: Rape, Incest, or Life of the Mother – therefore, the other 99 percent of women got Abortions just for their own convenience. Although since there was no concrete evidence to substantiate that Meme, there was a more than fair chance that it was totally False.

We also discussed the option of Adoption, adopting with the United States versus adopting Overseas, and the Foster Parenting system in this Country.

We talked about the possibility of someone helping, who’s not directly involved in an Abortion situation, in the Pro Life movement. Bouchoc said that in Elections involving Federal or State candidates, it would be a game-changer for him personally, on whether the candidate proclaims themself as either Pro Choice, or Pro Life. Getting off the subject a little bit, we discussed how even local school board races are especially important on how these candidates view current issues like Critical Race Theory, Pronouns, Woke-ism, Gender Reassignment Surgery, etc.

Another sort of off-beat topic I raised was with Bouchoc was the whole notion on whether he’d counsel someone who got pregnant if they, “had to get Married”? I told Bouchoc if either of my sons were in that situation, I’d tell either one of them that unless they thought for sure that they love that woman very much – and she also loved them – just stay Single & pay Child Support.

Furthermore, if you happen to be contemplating getting an Abortion, the New Hampshire Right to Life organization has some excellent counselors who can advise you on what your options are, its website is: nhrtl.org .

Lastly, another great option to just simply network and vent your concerns or questions, if you happen to be on Facebook.com , they’ve got a Fan Page titled, ‘I regret my abortion‘. They’ve got nearly 4000 members, 3.8K to be exact, and I would assume all of the ladies who serve as the Administrators for that Fan Page have had adverse experiences in the aforementioned subject matter.

If you could tell someone considering abortion one (1) thing, what would it be?

The aforementioned question was recently posed on the Facebook Fan Page, ‘I regret my abortion’ and a few of the responses were as follows:

Kristi D.

Memories cannot be displaced. If you think no will know and it will be easy to forget, it just isn’t possible. Every time you see a child or someone pregnant, it will be a reminder of your pregnancy and the child you don’t have now.

I lost my only child to abortion.

Esther J.

The relief is short lived, the burden of regret is life long!! You’re forever left wondering who that little one would have become and what they would have all accomplished.

Ashley B

I actually told a friend how the regret and the ‘what ifs’ can you eat you alive.

She ended up keeping her daughter and shortly after, married the dad and had another son.

When I think of my friend who became unexpectedly pregnant in college with someone she wasn’t even sure about, it makes me realize our life choices have such a domino effect.

It really is mind blowing how strongly it affects the entire rest of our lives. It’s a choice that has such a widespread ripple effect, but I don’t think most people who consider abortion even think that far ahead.

A person is declared dead when their heartbeat stops, maybe they should be declared alive when their heart is beating. Your tiny little baby already has a heartbeat. Their little life has already started and they’re trusting you to keep them safe until they’re able to take their first breath.

(And I’m not saying it’s not a baby from the conception, but most abortions occur after the baby’s heart has already starting beating, in itself declaring him or her alive)

Deserves the Right to Live His/Her Life

This episode of, ‘Frankly Speaking’ was a continuation of the show I did the previous month regarding the topic of, ‘Eternal Salvation – What it Is & What it Ain’t’, with the same guest, Pastor Greg Odiorne of the Merrimack Valley Baptist Church in Merrimack NH. This particular episode was recorded in the Nashua Public TV studio on 1-18-23.

Among the topics included in this show were: the 10 Commandments, and how they pertain to Salvation for those who lived before Jesus Christ; how Jesus ‘moved the proverbial goal posts’ regarding even hating someone the equivalent to murdering them; the presumption that Hell is probably more populated than Heaven; why we are now living in what the Bible refers to, ‘the End Times’; exactly how effective is Ray Comfort’s ‘The Way of the Master’ outreach approach to actually “converting people to Jesus Christ”; what can people expect on Judgement Day according to the Bible; what exactly did Jesus mean when he said that we (His followers) would be doing “greater works” than even himself; why do prayer requests sometimes fail; and lastly, what are the significance of “Crowns” in the Bible?

Perhaps to fully grasp the entire context of Pastor Odiorne’s message on, Eternal Salvation, you may also want to watch and study the initial part of this topic from the ‘Frankly Speaking’ episode we recorded about a month earlier on, 12-28-22.

Pastor Greg Odiorne of Merrimack Valley Baptist Church in Merrimack NH, was my guest for this episode of, ‘Frankly Speaking‘, which was recorded on 12-28-22 in the Nashua Public TV studio.

In this episode we discussed the Biblical meaning of “Eternal Salvation“; a.k.a. “Saved“, “Born Again“, “eternity in Heaven“, etc. We spoke about the simplicity of how easy God made salvation for anyone who realized that they needed to have Jesus Christ as a personal Lord and Savior in their life via a belief in their heart, along with a prayer (often referred to as the, Sinner’s Prayer, or Salvation Prayer), which is outlined in Romans 10:9-10.

We also discussed a few misconceptions of what many people often mistake for Eternal Salvation, such as: Water Baptism, Last Rites, and Miraculous Supernatural Signs.

This is an especially fantastic episode to watch, especially if you’ve never accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior into your life yet and you still have some questions and concerns about this whole subject matter.

If you wish to contact Pastor Odiorne, or anyone else about anything mentioned in this episode, the Merrimack Valley Baptist Church is located on 517 Boston Post Road in Merrimack; and its website is: http://www.MVBC.org . Their regular weekly services include: two Sunday morning services, and a Wednesday evening Bible study.

Aaron Louie, music pastor at Merrimack Valley Baptist Church, was my guest for this episode of, ‘Frankly Speaking’. This interview took place on 4/5/22 at the Access Nashua studio.

Among the topics discussed during this show included: Easter, specifically why does this holiday go from March to April, year-to-year; comparing Easter to pro football fans, would Easter be like “the Super Bowl of Christianity” since Jesus actually rose from the grave to give Christians their actual spiritual power; and, of course, the musical arrangements Pastor Louie has planned for both the MVBC service on the evening of Good Friday, as well as Easter Sunday morning.

This coming July, MVBC will hold some upcoming major events for its 40th Anniversary. Aside from the fact that it’s a major milestone for any church to reach a 40 year milestone, MVBC has several hundred members, as well as operates a K-thru-12 school, and has a missionary headquarters — all housed in the same complex. It should be noted here too that when the Gallup polling organization conducted a nationwide poll on which States were deemed “Most Religious” in the Country, New Hampshire ranked 49th, just ahead of Vermont for being the absolute worst. Needless to say, there were many challenges en route to making MVBC the tremendous congregation it is today.

Greg Odiorne, pastor of the MVBC, initiated the phrase, “Love Like Jesus” as the annual theme for the current calendar year. Pastor Louie and I talked about the love of Jesus, particularly how His level of Forgiveness and Patience were simply beyond human comprehension. Or, how to literally follow in Jesus’ footsteps by just believing that a Mountain would go into the ocean or any of us could ‘walk on water’ are miraculous feats most people would just limit to Jesus himself.

Last but by no means least, since Pastor Louie is the music pastor of MVBC, we discussed how he composes songs, as well as how he feels about the Christian music genre of today.

So I did a ‘Frankly Speaking’ TV show in Nashua NH last week, featuring two brilliant guys, Pastor Greg Odiorne, and Assistant Pastor Dave Gee, both from my church, Merrimack Valley Baptist Church (MVBC), which I titled, ‘Worshiping God in a National Pandemic’.

Granted membership-wise, MVBC might be in the top 10 biggest churches of New Hampshire, but despite the National Pandemic (and everything associated with it) for more than a year now, this congregation in Merrimack NH seems to be going stronger than ever. You might say, MVBC truly has God’s blessings behind it.

I had a lot of fun doing this interview with these guys, please check it out for yourselves.

Pastor Greg Odiorne of the Merrimack Valley Baptist Church in Merrimack NH, was my guest for this episode of, ‘Frankly Speaking’, which was taped in the Access Nashua studio on 1-23-20.

The main topic of discussion for this show was about the 2017 book, ‘The Paradigm’ by Jonathan Cahn, which outlines a supposed ancient blueprint that depicts a narrative from about 3000 years ago in the Old Testament, allegedly comparing with some of the key political players in America, just before and after the 2016 Presidential election.

Cahn, who’s a Rabbi and a popular guest on numerous Christian TV shows, also authored ‘The Harbinger’, which was a New York Times Best Seller and a publication that depicted the 9/11 tragedy in relationship to the Bible.

But despite some amazing similarities and comparisons between these characters and their respective timelines, Pastor Odiorne wasn’t too impressed ‘The Paradigm’, especially since it gives the impression that God may have used the same narrative of 3000 years ago to sort of reincarnate a very similar narrative for America today.

For example, Cahn compared King Joram (the Heir) to former President Barack Obama. Joram’s reign as King of Northern Israel was 12 years and stated that Obama’s reign of American leadership was when he first spoke at the 2004 Democrat Presidential Convention as a Senator, and four years later he’d become President for eight years. It might be a stretch to insinuate that Obama ruled America from ’04 thru ’08, as a U.S. Senator from Illinois.

One specific Odiorne said he had a problem with was insinuating that a character like Jezebel, who was well-documented as a very evil woman in the Bible, is like Hillary Clinton. Regardless of one’s political affiliation, it might be a little insulting to give the impression that that could be Biblical truth. We also discussed one Parallel, which Cahn made from his book, the similarity between Baal worship — often offering children as sacrifices — to today’s Pro Choice movement in America, which allowed for more than 60 million aborted fetuses since the passage of Roe v. Wade in 1963.

Since it was obvious that Odiorne didn’t really care too much for, ‘The Paradigm’ book, we discussed some of the 2020 plans for Merrimack Valley Baptist Church, like its Discipleship Training Program, Bread ministry, as well as upcoming plans for the Easter holiday and its annual Summer Vacation Bible School.

Aside from that, we compared the difference between God’s Judgement and Satan’s evil on the world. Since the editor of the magazine, ‘Christianity Today’ wrote a commentary urging Donald Trump to step down as President, which was immediately followed by popular evangelist Franklin Graham countering those viewpoints, we discussed a little bit about that as well and what to look for in the upcoming 2020 election.

If the Bible states in the book of 1 Corinthians that God would not want His followers ignorant on spiritual matters, then why do most individuals have so many problems comprehending on what it’s actually stating?

Dr. Larry Moyer, CEO and Founder of EvanTell ministry, headquartered in Dallas TX, has devoted the majority of his life to devising a “clear and simple Gospel message” so that folks can more easily grasp what exactly God is trying to convey in His Word, a.k.a. the Bible.

“The 66 books of the Bible — or the entire Gospel message — can be summed up in just 10 simple words: Jesus died for our sins, and rose from the grave,” Moyer said.

Moyer, who had a severe speech impediment problem as a child but always wanted to be an Evangelist, prayed back then that if God delivered him from that condition, Moyer would work to help others better understand the scriptures. He said that the two biggest reasons Christians don’t share the Gospel message with others are: 1) They’re afraid, and, 2) They don’t know how. The EvanTell ministry helps people get over their fears to become better witnesses for Jesus.

In an EvanTell Gospel tract titled, May I Ask You A Question?‘ (which might be the most popular, and widely requested, item in that ministry), Moyer outlines an easy-to-follow Bad News/Good News approach with ample scripture verses to attaining eternal salvation via “trusting in Christ alone” and making Jesus the personal Lord and Savior in your life.

Esther Clement, a Christian missionary with IBM Global (which is an off-shoot of Merrimack Valley Baptist Church in Merrimack NH) has been currently helping to move the Biblical Gospel in the African country of South Sudan for about a year. She stopped by the Access Nashua studio on 7-11-16 to give her testimony on, Frankly Speaking.

On that particular episode, Ms. Clement spoke about some of the challenges a missionary faces on the Mission field. I’ve always had the utmost respect for anybody who’d work in a field like this.
